I was on my way to work this afternoon and i came across a scene which hopefully i never get to see ever again.i boarded the train with a young lady.She looked about 4 to 5mths pregnant.Unfortunately there were no available seats for her.A gentleman then got up and offered the seat but not before asking aloud..i quote..

“miss, you got baby rite? If not pregnant,then i dun wanna give u..”(with his forefinger pointing vigorously to her tummy)

I was astonished.What kind of pathetic behaviour was that? It seems like he was reluctant to give up his seat for her.But why the need to insult her like that? The lady did not reply but just kept mum and stood beside me near the door.No one gave up their seat for her till she reached her destination.Soon after she alighted, another pregnant mum with a young child boarded.This time she looked heavily pregnant.Looks like she was ready to deliver anytime.The same man stood up and repeated the same dialogue again.I was really on the verge of going over to him and poking my finger up his nose but i held back coz i didn’t want to dirty my fingers on that filthy man.

Unfortunately for him,this lady fought back.Saying out loud…i quote..

“never mind lah.you sit.make yourself comfortable.Inside here(pointing to her bulging tummy) got no baby.Big balloon only!”

I laughed so hard and a few students standing around me laughed too….shame on you!

p.s: pregnant women dun need your sympathy.Just some understanding…

HEAD UP!

My baby has a very bad habit.She tend to tilt her head to the side everytime she is engrossed in something.Even when asked to pose for photos,she would instantly tilt her head when we zoom the camera at her.I have received plenty of feedback about this act of hers.I even had a vision of her in a classroom with all her little classmates chanting…“minah senget! Minah senget!”scary huh…

Someone then suggested sending her to be massaged.One even suggested i myself massage her every morning using my air liur basi(gross!).

Anyway,i fixed an appt with my massage lady one of those days to take a look at her.Well,thankfully there was nothing to worry about.No twisted veins or anything.Lucky for her and me i did not have to resort to the air liur basi ritual.For now ,we’re contented when she straightens up everytime she hears the command..HEAD UP!

p.s: I think this habit of hers is genetic.See photo below…

The fasting month is back.Hoping that i could really enjoy it this year.Last year was really a bitch.I mean,i was the bitch.It was really a trying month.I was at the last stage of my pregnancy,shifting to a new place and preparing for hari raya all at the same time.Going to work while in the midst of all that really tested my patience.I think i got on everybody’s nerves with my constant whining and complaining.Not forgetting,i was really quarellsome.I picked on every single thing.Even the most patient man was not spared and they must have breathe a sigh of relief when my gynae granted me hospitalisation leave a week before my due date.I should really thank my colleagues for putting up with me.Honestly i wasn’t the best person to be around with at that time.

Thankfully,i successfully manage to fast up to the third week.My baby decided not to move one of the days and i panicked.Quickly i sent my personal butler aka hubby,to get me something to eat as i thought my baby could be hungry.Half an hour after,my baby turned somersaults.And i got her point. MUST FEED BABY! She pura-pura pengsan lah…Aniwae,she decided not to trouble anyone by popping out five days after hari raya when her due date was supposed to be EVE of hari raya.And i was under house arrest for the rest of the hari raya month.Makes me shudder everytime i think of how i got thru it all.

So you see,these are the reasons why i am so looking forward to this month.I get to fast without constant worries,i am my normal self at work,no packing and unpacking and i get to wear pretty clothes during raya(unlike last year’s tent) . Yay!

Sorry for the lack of updates.Been occupied with unecessary commitments.Wouldn’t want to bother you with the details.Still finding a place to seek solace…but for tonight, just him to keep me contented…

According to her teacher, this girl will grow up to be an eloquent speaker.She has all the traits.The convincing facial expressions,the vigorous hand movements and the menacing eye contact.She has the potential to mesmerize you with her laughter but freezes you when she growls.

I’m not quite sure what all this proves.Till then,lets’s just wait till she starts talking….

p.s:I hope the teacher didn’t mean talkative instead of eloquent.

My colleague mentioned that if i worked out,i can have shakira’s hips…But i am proud of my hips.I lovingly call them my sexy child bearing hips.They are special and their mine.It took me 9 months and 4 hours of traumatic labour to achieve this perfect mould..and i won’t give it up..

YES! i’m in denial…Gym anyone?

Yellow flowy gown with thin belt to accentuate that gorgeous figure.

Blue translucent gown to tease the imagination.

White snowy headgear to keep static hair in place.No more bad hair days. Mask not included but available in different shades though.

It has always been my dream to dress up my baby.I guess i was deprived of playing with dolls when i was little(my twin’s a boy and 90% of my childhood buddies were boys!).I remembered how i secretly wished that the baby i was carrying would be a baby girl.I even started to vision my baby in cute little dresses with ribbons and clips.I went nuts shopping when the dr told me that i would be having a baby girl.

But now i realised why dressing my girl in those dresses are not really practical.With s’pore’s warm climate and my girl’s continuous sweating,i ended dressing her up in halters,spaghetti straps n bare backs tops.So i was taken aback when someone passed this remark..

“Mak pakai tudung tutup-tutup,anak pakai dedah dedah…”

What shallow thinking.I was furious initially,i felt that i was indirectly attacked for my lack of parenting skills,but then it was quite comical.Since when was fashion a parenting skill?Come on,don’t blame her,blame the parents sweaty genes.I thought that bringing up a child is not how you dress him or her up but what values you inculcate in them…So sad.

So for that lady’s satisfaction,here’s your model baby all covered up…

p.s:underneath all that is a spaghetti strap top with shorts.

My life pace? SLOW & STEADY

I sincerely can’t comprehend how i ended up working here.I’ll be receiving my Long service award soon,and i’ve started to wonder how i managed to survive switching from one mode to the other in a span of a few sleeping hours.Now i know how those frown lines appear….Now i realise where those angtsy feelings stem from…I’ve been working too hard..
